COLLABORATIVE WALKS: ongoing embodiment of rivers

~tracing//overflowing//finding direction~

MayaLand_SanLuisObispo_30min_start

To conclude a month of riverwalking, The Helio Butler Institute would like to invite you to join in a collaborative walk.

Please participate by doing the following:

  1. Choose a starting point
  2. Take a moment to see yourself as “river” (determined, bound for the sea, evaporation, desiccation, subversion, mixing…)
  3. Take a photograph of your feet.
  4. Note the time.
  5. Walk as a river. Trust yourself and follow your feet.
  6. Stop when you have reached a body of water or feel dried out in interest, body and/or time.
  7. Photograph your feet.
  8. Note the time.
  9. Send the two photographs to heliobutlerinstitute@gmail.com to contribute to our archive. Title as follows:
    1. first feet photograph: “YourName_location_time_START”
    2. second feet photograph: “YourName_location_time_FINISH”

Thank you for you time and interest.

We hope you enjoy your river-walks.
