A walk I complete regularly,
Have been there many times,
But have I really thought about it?
Spacetimemattering and intra-active cartographies chart this place,
The redevelopment made me think about what was being lost and erased.
Agential cuts allow for some realities but not others,
Cut – the site was an old psychiatric hospital,
Cut – once called an asylum and a self-sufficient site (market garden farmed by patients),
Cut – mental health issues were taboo, and the site was an island…away from society,
Cut – health policy changed and the site was redundant,
Cut – sold to developers – regeneration!
But what about the past?
